batik process

Okay, so I saved these pictures so they could be seen all together and you could see the entire process of batik. If you don’t know, it’s kind of like painting in the negative with wax one color at a time. For my final large project I did a portrait from an old photo, and here are the pictures from each part:

And the final result (the colors are a lot brighter in real life, but it’s hard to get accurate pictures because of the size so I included some detail pictures for a better sense of it):
